Christmas With an Indian Flavor

About

Christmas is a joyous celebration when Christians around the world remember the birth of Jesus Christ. The Christmas season is a special time of the year at Austin Christian Fellowship of India with many special programs to celebrate the birth of Jesus and to share the Christmas joy with the community. It gives us immense pleasure to invite you to our annual Christmas Celebration Event, Austin Desi Christmas! For our non-Desi friends, Desi means ‘a person of Indian birth or descent who lives abroad’.

Highlights

Austin Desi Christmas highlights cultural and regional diversity from India and reflects Austin’s fame for music to present a uniquely Austin+Desi festival!
All are invited to this free event, irrespective of religion or country of origin! Come and celebrate the Christmas season with us!

The celebration showcases Christmas celebrations with Indian traditional dances and songs. We will have Christmas songs in English and in various Indian regional languages, Indian cultural dance, a play by adults and children – including a nativity scene, games and crafts for children, family pictures by the Christmas tree and, of course, Indian dinner.

Fun activities, free dinner and wholesome entertainment
for the entire family!
